A new animated video by Seriously Sketchy
recaps the entire first season of Netflix's The Witcher series in a mere
twenty seconds.
This may not seem like enough time to accurately retell what happened in the first season of The Witcher, but the folks at Seriously Sketchy decided to give it a shot anyway. What they created is a hilarious and accurate summation of the show that pokes fun at some of the more glaring plot points and character issues. Jaskier's popular "Toss a Coin to Your Witcher" even receives some new lyrics that touch upon the often confusing time jumps the show contained. Best of all, they made time to animate Geralt in a bathtub, referencing the iconic scenes from both the video games and the show.
Those who haven't seen this adaption of the popular books, including
fans of the video game series, be sure to check it out before watching
the video. Anyone who has seen the show will surely appreciate the
expert way the animation lovingly takes down the show.
The first season focused heavily on introducing the main players in the world of The Witcher, but the second season will be doing a lot to broaden the supporting cast. Several characters will be returning, but many more new ones will be introduced. A few new Witchers will make their debut, all of which will help expand on the Witcher lore and Geralt's past. Two of them are Coen and the endearingly ill-tempered Lambert, who has cemented himself as a fan favorite.
The last Witcher is Vesemir, the tutor, mentor, and father figure to Geralt and the Witchers of Kaer Morhen. The character was hinted at in the final episode of the first season, so audiences have known he would make his way into the show eventually. While Mark Hamill was a popular choice to play the aging Witcher, the role of Vesemir went to another actor: Kim Bodnia.
