Microsoft confirms that some big games are going to be leaving Xbox Game Pass soon and subscribers don't have very long to complete them.

Microsoft's game subscription service Xbox Game Pass will be removing some major game releases soon. The service does add games regularly, with new Xbox Game Pass titles like Two Point Hospital and Wasteland Remastered recently being added. However, older games are often removed from the library, and more are departing soon.

In the "leaving soon" area of the Xbox Game Pass app, Microsoft has confirmed that five games will be removed from Xbox Game Pass. Arguably, the most popular of these games is Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the Adam Jensen adventure set two years after the "Aug incident" that prompted authorities to segregate normal humans and those with augmentations. The reviews of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided reveal that the game can take between 25-30 hours to complete, so Xbox Game Pass subscribers may still have time to complete it before it's removed from the service.

Other big games being removed from Xbox Game Pass are Shenmue 1 and 2. The Sega adventure games also take around 30 hours to complete. Sega released Shenmue 3 in 2019, so while the first two games are being removed from Xbox Game Pass, there is a new game ready for others to enjoy.

The two other games being removed from Xbox Game Pass are Thimbleweed Park and Lichtspeer: Double Speer Edition. In adventure game Thimbleweed Park, players assume the role of two FBI detectives investigating a murder. The Xbox game takes ideas from The Secret of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion which were also developed by Thimbleweed Park designers Gilbert and Winnick. Anyone who enjoys solving puzzles and video game murders will likely enjoy this one.

Lichtspeer: Double Speer Edition looks and plays like an 80s arcade game. Players throw spears of light at enemies in a game that has penguin vikings, ice giants, and dwarves. If Kratos from God of War went to a rave, this is probably what it would look like. There are all kinds of great indie games on Xbox Game Pass and many would say that this is one of them.

These five games may be being removed from Xbox Game Pass, but there are dozens of other games for subscribers to enjoy. Games like World of Horror have just been added and Final Fantasy XV will also take subscribers hours to complete. There will also be several exciting new games being added to the service in March.
